I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, a place whose character and cadence still echo in my voice even after decades of living in the United States. My introduction to photography came early: a camera gifted by my father on my tenth birthday sparked a fascination that quickly grew into a lifelong pursuit. What began as childhood curiosity evolved into a steady, enduring passion—one that has never loosened its grip.
For more than thirty years, I built a career in the information systems industry, working within the fast‑moving world of high technology. When I retired, I made a deliberate and transformative choice: to turn my long‑standing photography hobby into a full‑time profession. It remains one of the most meaningful decisions of my life. Photography allows me to do what I enjoy most - observing, interpreting, and honoring the people and places around me.
My work spans portraiture, events, travel destinations, architecture, products, and fine art. I have an extensive stock photography library has been widely published, with images appearing in both U.S. and European magazines and newspapers. Whether documenting a fleeting expression or capturing the atmosphere of a distant landscape, my photographs reflect a practiced eye and a genuine appreciation for the world’s quiet details.
Today, I continue to explore and create with the same enthusiasm that began at age ten—still chasing light, still finding stories, still addicted to the shutter.
